For the third consecutive year, the Ormond Beach Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans made a lot of folks happy at the Jewish Federation of Volusia & Flagler Counties Jerry Doliner Food Bank.

In an assembly-line fashion, eight tables were set up and families, regardless of race or religion were given turkeys, all of the sides and a huge apple pie. The Federation added apples, pears, apple juice, popcorn, chips, pastries and specialty foods from Olive Garden.

Also helping to provide holiday cheer were The Christmas Club of Daytona Beach for sending a mountain of food, and the Charity Classic of Congregation B'Nai Torah for providing funds for families during December.

Toys were provided by the Margarita Ball Foundation, the Daytona Beach Shores Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Junior League of Daytona Beach.  Temple Beth-El and Temple Beth Shalom provided gift certificates for tweens. Also, Jerry Doliner Food Bank received funds from many businesses, foundations and individuals during the holidays.

The Jewish Federation of Volusia & Flager Counties wants to thank the many volunteers who helped so many less fortunate people have a wonderful Holiday season.
