Get a passport to Hebrew at Temple Israel

Cooking dinner at last year's Passport to Hebrew program.

Passport to Hebrew is Temple Israel's summer children's program for Hebrew enrichment. The program is open to all school-age children (members and non-members) and will take place on July 30, July 31 and Aug. 1 from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Roth Social Hall. Whether your child needs a refresher course in Hebrew, or if he/she is new to Hebrew, this program will be fun and exciting.

This year's "Falafel Edition" will be centered on Israel and will feature a mini-ulpan experience. There will be creative art projects and an exploration of the sights and sounds of Israel. Participants will learn useful words and expressions including colors, numbers, monetary values, weather and food. The children will explore various places in Israel including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa. Each evening, there will be dinner and a song session.

The program is open not only to school-age children but also to their family members, and they are welcome to participate together. Participation can be for one day ($10/person), two days ($15/person) or all three days ($20/person).
