Michael A. Kaplan, age 73, of Winter Springs, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at his residence. He was 73 years old. Mr. Kaplan was born on Sept. 28, 1941, in New York City to the late George and Rose Bronston Kaplan. He was a high school graduate and served in the U.S. Army. On May 28, 1964, in Spring Valley, New York, he married the former Eileen Stein, his wife of 51 years, who survives him.

Mr. Kaplan was an entrepreneur in the sales and marketing industry moving from Cherry Hill, N.J. to the Orlando area in 1972.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Wendy Berman, Andrew (Patricia) Kaplan, Stephen (Jessica) Kaplan, Jeremy Kaplan, Bradley Kaplan (Ron Scagliaola), and Shayna (Patrick) Morrison; and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Jane (Gary) Bach of Nashville; and his special pet, Daisy.

A funeral service was held at Kraft Azalea Gardens in Winter Park with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating. Burial was at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In memory of Michael A. Kaplan, the family requests contributions to the charity of choice.
