Purim meets country western and 'Fiddler on the Roof' at COS

On Wednesday, March 4, Congregation Ohev Shalom will welcome Purim country style. The entire community is welcome to join the country themed Purim Carnival from 4:30 p.m. -6:30 p.m. and then stay for Megillah reading at 6:30 p.m. Cowboy hat toss, cow milking, horseshoe, hayride, learn to line dance, petting zoo, pony rides, hay bale obstacle course, bounce house prizes and more. A one-time fee of $8 in advance or $10 at the door allows access to all the games. Food will be sold separately.

But wait, the Purim fun isn't over yet. On March 8 at 2 p.m. and March 11 at 6:45 p.m., COS presents the annual youth theatre production. What do you get when you combine Purim with "Fiddler on the Roof"? A thoroughly entertaining musical for all ages titled "Megillah on the Roof!" A pizza and salad dinner will be sold prior to the performance.

Tickets are $4 children and senior adults and $6 adults. "Megillah on the Roof" is underwritten by a grant from the Hornik Family in memory of Joseph and Frieda Ross.
