On Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 4:30 p.m. Kol Tikvah and Shir Joy, the youth and teen performance ensembles created and directed by Cantor Jacqueline Rawiszer at Congregation of Reform Judaism, will be performing on the Jewish Rock Radio Stage at Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) Biennial at the Marriott Orlando World Marriott.

During the past 13 years talented youth and teen singers and musicians ages 7 to 19 have expressed themselves through the joy of Jewish music throughout Central Florida as members of this ever-evolving group. Graduates include NFTY Songwriting Competition winner, Samantha Trattner and current third year HUC-JIR DFSSM cantorial student, Jacob Niemi, as well as several music and theatre professionals.

Cantor Rawiszer reflects, "During the past 13 years children have developed their love of Jewish music, sense of Jewish identity and community, confidence and artistic abilities in a warm, supportive and nurturing atmosphere. It is a 'shir joy'-pun intended-to watch these fine young people mature into teens and young adults, while deepening their connection to their heritage.

The performers include: Jaden Slone, Brandon Moffitt, Rachel Long, Layla Kaplan, Levi Kaplan, Lilah Tanielian, Logan Sonne, Natalie Tabb, Brittany Armbrust, Seth Armbrust, Evan Reich, Ashlyn Hoffman, Paige Kaplan, Alyssa Anderson, Ava Paolantonio, Ilana Flores, Sam Bernbaum, and Shoshana Scanlon.
