New Religious School knows no boundaries

Temple Israel students with Rabbi Joshua Neely making their own tallitot.

There is a new, one-of-a-kind religious school in Winter Springs to provide your children with a strong Jewish education and identity whether you consider yourself Conservative or Reform. Temple Israel and Temple Shir Shalom have joined forces to create a collaborative religious school called the Meitin Alliance for Growth And Learning.

The school will be known as MAGAL, the Hebrew word for circle and a symbol of oneness. Rabbi Joshua Neely and Cantor Kim Singer will be the heads of MAGAL and have created an exciting, interactive curriculum that emphasizes our long history, the people who made it and how we each fit into the ongoing story.

Rabbi Neely and Cantor Kim look forward to discussing how your child will fit in and answering any questions you may have.

Along with the education leaders from both temples, Rabbi Neely and Cantor Kim will be at the JCC Summer Sunday Splash on Aug. 7 with information concerning MAGAL. This event, with pool access and lunch, is free with prior reservation only. Please complete your online reservation at http://www.tiflorida.org or by calling the Temple Israel office at 407-647-3055. Reservations are being accepted until 4 p.m., Aug. 4.

General information is available at http://www.templeshirshalom.org and http://www.tiflorida.org

Rabbi Neely can be reached at 407-647-3055 or rabbi@tiflorida.org and Cantor Kim can be reached at 781-724-1206 or cantorkim@gmail.com.
