The Fifth Annual Pavilion Golf Society was marked by friends, fairways, food, family, and the many fans of honorees, Elise and Dr. Henry Schilowitz. More than 80 golfers were in full swing at The Rosen Shingle Creek's new Arnold Palmer Golf Course, for a morning round of golf to raise funds for the Jewish Pavilion and The Orlando Senior Help Desk on Sunday, May 7.

The honoree couple was celebrated with the arrival of out-of-town family including their two sons, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. Thanks to the Schilowitz's extensive community involvement, a record number of guests enjoyed the PGS, with several tables of non-golfers joining in for lunch. The community-minded honorees and Jewish Pavilion volunteers expressed their gratitude for the gathering in their honor.

Elise remarked, "This year's PGS was way above par thanks to our generous sponsors, our dedicated volunteers, and the hard working Pavilion staff. The monies raised by the PGS will help increase the operational hours of Orlando's Senior Help Desk, ensuring access to information and resources for all issues related to aging, for the Jewish community, and seniors of all faiths and backgrounds."

Honors were given at a luncheon following the tournament. Pavilion Golf Society co-chairs, Keith Levitt and Eli Bercovici, thanked attendees for "being the ace-in-the-hole for the senior community."

Executive Director Nancy Ludin remarked, "We are proud to honor Elise and Henry Schilowitz for championing our elder community, and being there for the Pavilion when the idea for the Orlando Senior Help Desk, a help line for older adults and their families, was first mentioned."

PGS Tournament Winners:
