Son of Hamas leader calls out PA at UN Watch

Mosab Hassan Yousef addressing the U.N. on Sept. 25.

It took less than 90 seconds for Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of Hamas founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef, to make the Palestinian delegation to the UN Human Rights Council squirm in their seats. Just after members from the PLO, Syria, Qatar, North Korea, Pakistan, Venezuela and Iran spoke their vile reasons to disassociate with Israel at United Nations Watch, Yousef spoke in English with clarity and confidence as he called out the PA's human rights abuses of their own people.

"Where does your legitimacy come from? The Palestinian people did not elect you, and they did not appoint you to represent them," he began.

Palestinian delegates were stunned as Hassan Yousef called the PA the "greatest enemy of the Palestinian people."

After exclaiming that the Palestinian people did not appoint this delegation to represent them, he fired off:

Your accountability is not to your own people. This is evidenced by your own total violation of their human rights... You kidnap Palestinian students from campus and torture them in your jails. You torture political rivals. The suffering of the Palestinian people is the outcome of your selfish political interests.

"If Israel did not exist, you would have no one to blame," he declared. "Take responsibility for the outcome of your own actions. You fan the flames of conflict to maintain your abusive power. Finally, you use this platform to mislead the international community."

Yousef concluded simply with "thank you," leaving the audience dumbfounded.

Google Mosab Hassan Yousef's speech at UN. The video has gone viral.

"The Green Prince," released in 2014, is an autobiographical documentary adaptation, of Yousef's autobiography "Son of Hamas."
