Photos from: NYC's Holocaust museum uses personal objects to tell the story of lives lived and lost




An enamel bowl, on display at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Manhattan, was carried through three concentration camps by the Burbea family from Libya, even serving as a vessel to carry their youngest son to his circumcision when he was born in Bergen-Belsen in 1944.
