(In response to front page article titled “Arab Knesset member claims Temple Mount for Muslims only”)

“Jews will not be allowed to ‘contaminate’ the Temple Mount and the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.”

“The Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of prayer for Muslims alone. Period! Not for the others.”

“We repeat: the occupation of Al-Aqsa by the Crusaders was long, but it ended; the same was true of the British Mandate,and the same will be true of the Israeli Occupation of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Al-Aqsa.”

These vile words were spoken by Ahmad Tibi, deputy speaker of the Knesset. The Knesset is the unicameral national legislature of Israel.

Tibi is an Arab-Israeli but describes himself as Arab-Palestinian in nationality, and Israeli in citizenship. Tibi served as a political advisor to Yasser Arafat from 1984 to 1999 and described his relationship with Arafat as, “close and extremely important to him.”

A Poster Boy for Moderate Muslims

Ahmad Tibi is a devout Muslim, accomplished physician, and an Arab Israeli. Tibi should be the face of the moderate Muslim living and prospering in a Jewish State.

However, when you examine Ahmad Tibi’s words regarding the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, you will see a dark, hate-filled, insidious evil lying just underneath his impeccably tailored westernized Armani suit.

Contaminate

“Jews will not be allowed to ‘contaminate’ the Temple Mount and the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.”

To contaminate by definition is to “make something impure by exposure to or addition of a poisonous or polluting substance.” Ahmad Tibi is saying that Jews are impure and poisonous.

The last person to use such words in a similar context was Adolf Hitler in a speech delivered in Salzburg August 1920. Adolf Hitler said, “...This Jewish contamination will not subside, this poisoning of the nation will not end, until the carrier himself, the Jew, has been banished from our midst.” Nobody took Hitler’s words seriously back then either.

Completing The Circle Of Hate

Tibi brings it all home by saying the Temple Mount is for “Muslims Only... Not the Others” and “Jerusalem is under Israeli occupation which will someday end.”

Ahmad Tibi speaks his “truth” without shame or embarrassment. There are no Arab Israelis publicly condemning Tibi’s Jew-hating. Liberal Jews in America and Israel have been silent—and this silence in the face of evil must end today.

Ahmad Tibi believes Jews are nothing more than a contaminating poisonous substance that must be eradicated.

Close your eyes and let the force of Tibi’s words reach deep into your soul and taste the evil of this Jewish contamination. For some who seek Israel’s destruction the taste will be sweet. For “the others” Tibi’s words should be a foghorn warning us that there are millions if not billions of people who would not shed a tear if Ahmad Tibi’s words were to become a reality.
