SteveVitkovsky writes:

Mr. Jacobs reminded me of the actor Herb Edelman on the show The Good Guys. The show ran for two seasons beginning in 1968. Bob Denver starred as cab driver Rufus Butterworth, and Herb Edelman as his life-long friend, Bert Gramus. With wife Claudia (Joyce Van Patten, younger sister of Dick) he runs Bert's Diner and would answer the phone Yellow, Bert's place. I dated his daughter Shari in Indian Country Campsites, Gouldsboro PA around 1973-1975. I recall her birthday is either Nov. 9 or 10.

RChiarello writes:

I remember Mr Jacobs well from my youth in Freehold, NJ. As a kid I recall what a great personality he had, how he always seemed upbeat and how nice he was to all the kids on the block. Rest in peace Mr Jacobs and God bless.
