The Jewish Pavilion Pearl donors are generous with their time and resources. On Jan. 23, Lynn Minkow hosted the Pearls event and organized a fashion presentation. Close to 50 women enjoyed a gourmet lunch and beautiful clothes from the exclusive Etcetera Collection in an exquisite lakefront home.

The Jewish Pavilion's sole mission is to enhance the lives of our elders. In 54 secular, skilled-nursing, assisted-living and independent-living facilities in greater Orlando, 350 Jewish residents and more than a thousand residents of other faiths have enjoyed Chanukah, Purim, musicales and other parties thanks to the Pavilion. By developing good relations with the facilities seniors in many buildings are having monthly Shabbat luncheons and dinners using Pavilion recipes and service leaders. Family members are invited to partake in the festivities and for many of them this is their only connection to the Jewish community.

The Jewish Pavilion's year-round companionship program assures that our elders will not be alone in the world. Also, hundreds of people have benefitted from the Orlando Senior Help Desk where they can access any information they need about senior services in our area from a free social worker and website. http://www.orlanodseniorhelpdesk.org.
