Learning how to be well on purpose

Sandra Yochum from Cornerstone Hospice meets Joff Stride, executive director of Chambrel at Island Lake.

Fifty participants in the Jewish Pavilion February workshop at Chambrel, titled "Be Well on Purpose," learned that wellness is in one's own hands. While genes and luck play a significant role in life, proper nutrition, exercise, socialization and faith play a larger role in developing optimal health. The Jewish Pavilion provides companionship and a connection to the Jewish community and alleviates social isolation, which is a major cause of poor health.
