JetBlue Airways and EL AL Israel Airlines sign codeshare agreement

EL AL Israel Airlines and JetBlue Airways signed a codeshare agreement, providing travelers to Israel with expanded options and easier connections.
Travelers living in 38 cities in the U.S. can now experience convenient connections to their EL AL nonstop flight to/from Israel. Luggage is automatically transferred between the JetBlue and EL AL flights, Matmid frequent flyer points are earned on the JetBlue domestic flights and passengers need only purchase one ticket through one transaction for travel between their home city and Israel. In addition, on the day of travel, upon checking in, passengers receive boarding cards for both carriers' flights. The EL AL code (LY) appears on flight information screens at all 38 designated airports for the JetBlue/EL AL flights (via JFK and Newark/Liberty International Airports).
Danny Saadon, vice president of EL AL Israel Airlines, is enthusiastic about the new partnership with JetBlue. "This codeshare agreement provides passengers traveling to Israel a lot more flexibility from a variety of destinations in the U.S. We are pleased to formally expand our cooperation with such a reputable airline as JetBlue and make it even easier for EL AL passengers to book travel to Israel."

EL AL offers up to 32 weekly nonstop flights between the U.S. and Israel, which easily tap into JetBlue's growing network. EL AL customers living in the following cities will benefit from this new agreement: Albuquerque, Austin, Boston, Buffalo, Burbank, Burlington, Charleston, Charlotte, Chicago O'Hare, Denver, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Fort Myers, Houston Hobby, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Long Beach, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Portland (Maine), Portland (Oregon), Raleigh/Durham, Rochester, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose (California), San Juan, Sarasota/Bradenton, Savannah, Seattle-Tacoma, Syracuse, Tampa, Washington Dulles and West Palm Beach.
