Ruth Gampel Zemel of Altamonte Springs, Fla., formerly of South Orange, N.J., died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014. She was 89 years old. Mrs. Zemel was the daughter of the late Helen and Abraham Gampel, and was also predeceased by her sister Norma Levy. She was a great lady who made a difference.

Mrs. Zemel is survived by her children, Ron Zemel, Dr. Marcia Leder, Ben (Susan) Zemel and Andy Zemel; a sister, Florence Newman; and grandchildren, Brandon and Amanda.

A graveside funeral was held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at East Ridgelawn Cemetery Menorah Section, Clifton, N.J. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice. The family thanks all who provided comfort to them.
