The Jewish Pavilion will host the Pearls of the Pavilion Luncheon at the home of board member Elaine Gamson on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. for members who have made a $500 minimum donation to the Jewish Pavilion Membership Appeal (can be paid throughout the year; membership year is September-August).

At this luncheon, the Pearls of the Pavilion (POP) will learn about the eye-popping art-work of multi-media conceptual pop artist Stephen Gamson, who will discuss pieces from his new series "Twisted Icons" over lunch hosted by his parents, Elaine and Bob Gamson of Longwood.

Gamson is a renowned multimedia American pop artist with a unique style easily recognized for bold colors, iconic symbols and mass appeal. His art has been featured at Art Basel Miami Beach, the Scope Art Fair, the Red Dot Art Show, Art Miami, and in many solo and group exhibitions internationally, where he is collected by "A" list celebrities and corporations.

The Gamson mark has enhanced brands such as Bacardi, Cafe Bustelo, Lamborghini, Brera Orologi and Fisker Automotive. Gamson has been honored as the official Artist for the Monaco Grand Prix, the Sony Open, Miami Beach Polo, ING Miami Marathon, the Necker Cup, the Bacardi Cup, Sarasota Polo, the City of Miami's Birthday and many others. In addition his artwork has made a positive impact through charitable causes.

Gamson works from his 6,000-square-foot downtown Miami studio at the Miami World Center and gets much of his influence from its multi-cultural and vibrant surroundings.

Gamson will also touch on pop-art masterpieces collected by his parents from the 20th century. Elaine Gamson credits Stephen for the gallery-like effect of their contemporary Longwood home. Their notable collection features works by Keith Herring, Thornton Dial, Andy Warhol, and Roy Lichenstein, and will be on display for the POP luncheon.
