MONDAY, JULY 13

Israeli Folk Dancing—7-7:30 p.m. beginners, 7:30-8:15 p.m. instruction, 8:15-10 p.m., requests. Cost: Free for JCC members, $5 nonmembers. Info: 407-645-5933.

Holocaust Center—Remembering Ravensbruck art exhibit through Sept. 25. Highlights the experiences of women in the Holocaust. Created by Kennesaw State University Public History and German Studies programs and the Ravensbruck Memorial Site.

Mondays at 1 (and 7)—Congregation Ohev Shalom’s daytime (and now evening) adult education program is back with a new 3-part series called “Fiddling with Tradition—The Cultural Phenomenon of Fiddler on the Roof.” Sessions are at 1 p.m. and repeated at 7 p.m. at COS. Torah & Tea—Women’s study group meeting weekly from 9:30—10:30 a.m. on the grounds of Camp Gan Israel at the Pool Pavillion through July 17. The group is open to all women. Admission is free and no previous Jewish education is required.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 15

Zionistas present—Guest speaker Laurie Cardoza-Moore, founder of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations, will speak about the resolution she initiated condemning BDS in the Tennessee state legislature, 7 p.m. at the Eastmonte Civic Center, 830 Magnolia Dr., Altamonte Springs. Holocaust Center—Partnering with the Interfaith Council of Central Florida, the Center presents Religion: Understanding our tapestry of faiths, from 2-3:30 p.m. each Wednesday through Aug. 5. Each session will feature representatives of two faith communities. Cost is $15, which includes the book “How to be a perfect stranger.” Pre-registration is required to Susan Mitchell, susan@holocaustedu.org or hand-delivered to the Center.

A Bissel Yiddish—Classes in Yiddish the third Thursday of each month led by Joan Pohl and sponsored by the Jewish Pavilion, held at Chambrel in Longwood, 10:30 a.m. At the end of each lesson, students sing Yiddish songs, accompanied by Mimi Shader on piano. Info: 407-678-9363.

Lecture series—The Interfaith Council of Central Florida presents a series of lectures on various religious beliefs in our society, the first and third Friday of the month, from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at Brookdale Retirement Community, located at 160 Islander Court, Longwood. No charge.
