Jewish Academy of Orlando opens its doors for their community Open House and family innovation night

The Jewish Academy of Orlando is opening its award-winning day school for an open house featuring family innovation night. On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 6:15 p.m., the Jewish Academy of Orlando will host current and prospective families. The event is designed for families with children ages 5-13 years old. Free babysitting will be available for families with younger children.

Families can meet and mingle with the school’s distinguished staff and explore the Kindergarten through middle school curriculum, which includes our new social/emotional program called MindUp, diverse elective courses, and a differentiated learning approach. We will also be showcasing our new Innovation lab where students can tinker with robots, our 3-D printer and much more!

Not only will the event showcase the day school’s award winning use of technology and advanced academic programs, it will demonstrate why this school has continually been recognized as a breeding ground for some of the top academic students in Central Florida since 1976.

Alan Rusonik, head of school, who took the leadership in July 2014, will showcase the Jewish Academy and share what is behind the strength and dedication of the teaching staff, rigorous curriculum and daily teachings of charity, kindness and gratitude to make well rounded students. “A strong Jewish Day school is key to having a strong Orlando Jewish community,” says Rusonik.

The school is now enrolling for the 2016-2017 school year. Parents are encouraged to take a tour of the school in addition to attending this interactive event. The event will be held on the Jewish Academy campus located at 851 N. Maitland Ave, Maitland. RSVP by calling 407-647-0713 or office@jewishacademyorlando.org

The Jewish Academy is Orlando’s award winning and Apple Distinguished Jewish day school in Orlando. It is the only Kindergarten through middle school Jewish day school in Orlando and is celebrating its 38th year.
