Obituary - THOMAS E. COOPER

 

Thomas E. Cooper, age 65, of Oviedo, FL (formerly of Randallstown, MD) passed away on Sept. 21, 2015, in Oviedo. Mr. Cooper was born in Baltimore, MD on April 18, 1950, to the late Edward F. Cooper and Olga D. Cooper.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, his "bashert", Sheila Friedman Cooper, son, David (Daun) Cooper, daughter, Nicole (Ben) Knapp, and four grandchildren, Sarah Cooper, Samuel Cooper, Melanie Knapp and Nolan Knapp. Also survived by sisters, Katharine (Lou) Reeves, Anne Elizabeth (Jack) Bergquist. mother-in-law, "Gert" Friedman, many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law.

He was a member of Temple Shir Shalom and The Oviedo Winter Springs Optimist Club. He was an advocate for those with special needs, and dedicated supporter of Boystown of Central Florida. Tom lost his battle with lung cancer and supported Lung Cancer Research.

A celebration of his life was held on September 24 in the Epicenter at University Carillion United Methodist Church.
