Early Thanksgiving at Oakmonte Village

COS seventh graders share how Thanksgiving relates to Judaism with Oakmonte Village resident, Elaine.

After several weeks of anticipation, the residents of Oakmonte Village-Cordova community enjoyed a Sunday morning mingling with teachers, parents and seventh-grade students of Congregation Ohev Shalom.

While a Thanksgiving Seder may be something 'new and modern' to the seniors they are very familiar with and appreciative of visiting with youngsters who enthusiastically shared the holiday of Thanksgiving and how it is related to Judaism.

A Chanukah program is scheduled for Dec.13 with the students. Watch for more photos after Chanukah.
