Orlando Shakespeare Theater in partnership with UCF has partnered with nationally renowned magician Kostya Kimlat to offer an exclusive evening of magic and Shakespeare to patrons attending the Theater's production of "The Tempest" on March 25. The pre-show party will feature an intimate sleight-of-hand magic lesson from Kostya Kimlat and two other official magicians of the Orlando Magic. The magic lesson will take place prior to the evening's $25 Under 35 performance. Ticket holders of any age are invited to add on the pre-show entertainment package for just $20 (per person). Add-on packages may be purchased by calling (407) 447-1700 ext. 1 or by emailing boxoffice@orlandoshakes.org. Limited number of spaces available and activity subject to change.

"Orlando Shakes' production of "The Tempest" features several magical effects, so we are thrilled to partner with Kostya Kimlat and his team," said Director of Marketing Communications Melissa Mason Braillard. "As a few of the most respected magicians in the Central Florida area, we couldn't ask for a better way to introduce the show to an audience in a different way."

Kimlat (www.KostyaKimlat.com) is the CEO and founder of See Magic Live, which trains and books magicians for events across the country. He also is one of only a handful of magicians who managed to fool Penn & Teller on their TV show "Fool Us." Kimlat and his team are the magicians of the Orlando Magic and teach magic classes for adults at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Along with performing at corporate and private events across the country, Kimlat's team of trained and certified magicians also present a monthly magic and dinner show (www.MagicShowOrlando.com) at Christner's Prime Steak & Lobster.

"The Tempest" is a Shakespeare classic that tells the story of the mighty magician, Prospero, and his quest for revenge against those who conspired against him. Tickets are available now by calling (407) 447-1700 ext. 1, visiting http://www.orlandoshakes.org, or in person at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center (812 East Rollins Street).

"The Tempest" is presented by Florida Hospital with additional funding provided by Foley & Lardner, Orlando Utilities Commission, and Macy's. This project is also funded in part by Orange County Government through the Arts & Cultural Affairs Program. This production is part of Shakespeare in American Communities, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
