Sharing the goodness witnessed in Israel

Pastor Roger Diaz

On Thursday, May 25 at 7 p.m., Pastor Roger Diaz of Fellowship Church in Winter Springs will give a presentation on the goodness he has witnessed in Israel as he takes groups of Christians to interact with Orthodox Jews living in Judea and Samaria. This event, sponsored by the Zionistas, will be held at the Eastmonte Civic Center, 830 Magnolia Drive, Altamonte Springs.

Pastor Diaz, ordained as an elder, is a native of the Caribbean Island Trinidad and Tobago. He moved to Central Florida in 1984. When Ken Garrison retired as pastor of Fellowship Church in 2009, Pastor Diaz took his place and was ordained and installed as pastor in July of that year. He lives with his wife, Lisa, and their four children.

Every year since 2006, Fellowship Church has sent a work group to Kedumim in Samaria to help build up and extend Jewish life. A group left on March 4 for Israel and again worked on the "HaTznirim Park." This community park sits atop a once barren hilltop adjacent to Kedumim. An ancient rock quarry has been discovered on the site and now acts as a reservoir. This has become a water park and picnic area popular with the people of Kedumim and from surrounding communities. Children play in the streams and shallow pools as the water flows down the hillside.

This program is open to the community at no cost. Donations are greatly appreciated. Reservations are requested. Please contact Sandi Solomon at 407-831-0176 or sansolomon@hotmail.com.

Founded by Eva London Ritt, Diana Scimone, Judy Shujman and Sandi Solomon, the Zionistas are a coalition of Christian and Jewish women united for Israel. Advocacy, Awareness and Activism is the driving force behind the Zionistas. Men are welcome to join the Zionistas.
