Obituary - STANLEY ALAN WEINROTH

Stanley A. Weinroth, Shmuel ben Tzvi, age 89, of Maitland, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at Florida Hospital—Altamonte. He was born in Bronx, New York, on May 7, 1928, one of two sons born to the late William and Miriam Bromberger Weinroth. He was a confirmed bachelor until he met the former Lucilla Krutman, his wife of almost 53 years who survives him. Stan and Lucilla were married in Cocoa Beach on Oct. 24, 1964. Stan did his undergraduate work at City College of New York and earned his master’s degree in engineering from the University of Tulsa. He served in the U.S. Army as an electronics engineering assistant and worked as an engineer in the electronics and aerospace industries. The family lived in Livingston, N.J., for 20 years until relocating to the Orlando area and affiliating with Congregation Ohev Shalom in 1998.

While in New Jersey, Stan also served as mayor of Livingston.

In addition to Lucilla, Stan is survived by his son, Stuart (Pam) of Greenwood Village, Colorado; his daughter, Anna (Craig) Ward of Nashville, Tenn .; and two grandchildren, Delaina and Zachary. He is also survived by his brother, Alvin Weinroth; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pearl and King Halikman; and his nieces and nephews.


Funeral services, with military honors, were held at the Pavilion at Ohev Shalom Cemetery with Rabbi Aaron Rubinger officiating. Interment followed in the cemetery. In memory of Stanley A Weinroth, the family requests contributions to Congregation Ohev Shalom, Concourse Parkway South, Maitland 32751.
