Challah for Rosh Hashanah

October 11, 2019

Everyone pitches in to make the challah for Rosh Hashanah.

Who could pass up an opportunity to make challah with your children and grandchildren just before Rosh Hashanah? Thanks, once again, to Ben Brenslauer for providing the opportunity to carry on family traditions with a Challah Bake at Cascade Heights Senior Living. Brenslauer brought the dough. Marci Gaeser brought her grandchildren, Jennifer and Allison Klein. Heidi Zissman brought her children, Spencer and Maggie Rose. Elizabeth Bookspan once again volunteered with her children, Asa and Emma. Cascade Heights residents Cindie Elman, Ann Schwartz and Roz Hoffmann along with Pavilion volunteers Nancy Price, Shirley Schoenberger, Myrna Ossin and Ashley Fisak added to the family making challah together.

Ben Breslauer and several volunteers with their grandchildren prepare the challah.

Cascade Heights baked the challah in time to be served at the Shabbat service that day and shared with the residents just in time for Rosh Hashanah.
