The Kinneret Chanukah party was one to remember

December 27, 2019

Jewish Pavilion CEO Nancy Ludin tripped the light fantastic with a Kinneret resident.

From 14-month-old Liam Osteen, grandson of Michal Osteen, to the oldest resident Jean Dolan, who claims to be 98-1/2 years old, everyone enjoyed the latkes, music by Walter Goldstein, singing and dancing at the Kinneret Chanukah party. Residents and party volunteers danced the hora winding through the crowd, stopping to dance at the tables and led the groups in song.

The youngest to the oldest enjoy the Chanukah party.

Three Jewish organizations joined together so seniors could continue to celebrate a Jewish holiday. These included Nancy Ludin, Jewish Pavilion CEO; Pavilion board members, staff and volunteers (who supplied the wine and many gifts); Sharon Weil, director of Kinneret Council on Aging; Carol Feuerman, Kinneret president and other Board volunteers; and Mike Brodsky, president of the Orlando Jewish Chamber of Commerce, along with his board and members.

They worked in the kitchen, served, sang, danced and visited with Kinneret residents. Many of the volunteers met for the first time, joining together in creating a party to remember.
