    Calling all gals and guys! Temple Israel Sisterhood will be going on their fifth annual shopping adventure to the Festival Flea Market in Pompano Beach, Fla., on Sunday, Nov. 2. They will be leaving on a new air-conditioned bus from the Jewish Academy of Orlando’s parking lot at 8 a.m. and return at approximately 8 p.m. During the bus ride, bagels, snacks and water will be served, and for entertainment, there will be a comedy video and movie.   • Congregation Sinai celebrates Sukkot in style

    Congregation Sinai, located in Minneola, Fla., covering the Greater Clermont area, celebrated Sukkot with blessings, cocktails and appetizers on Friday, Oct. 10. Spiritual leaders Joe and Lynn Goldovitz led services with their guitars and singing following the festivities in the sukkah. The sukkah gets built each year by the Men's Club, and stands during the eight days of Sukkot. The Religious School enjoyed decorating the congregation's sukkah with live greens and handmade crafts.     Penn State students sentenced for vandalizing Jewish frat (JTA)—Two Penn State students who pleaded guilty to spray-painting anti-Semitic graffiti on a mostly Jewish fraternity house were sentenced to community service and probation. Eric Hyland, 20, was sentenced last week in Centre County Court to 200 hours of community service and two years probation, and ordered to pay $6,000 restitution.
