Alan Litka of Orlando died on Saturday, May 18, 2013. He was 88 years old. An Orlando resident since 1953, he was born in Cincinnati on April 19, 1925, to the late Max and Jennie Vagranasky Litka. A survivor of the Shoah, he was born in Romania on Feb. 9, 1933 to the late David Sacagiu and Chaya Birenbaum Sacagiu. At 13 years of age he escaped from Romania and ran for two years eventually making his way to Marseilles, France, where he boarded a ship for what was then Palestine.
