Jonie Goldberg of Maitland passed away on Thursday, June 27, at her residence. She was 76 years old.

A native of New Rochelle, N.Y., she was born on Aug. 1, 1936 to the late Frank and Phyllis Fox Eggers. She attended local area schools and on Oct. 14, 1959, married the love of her life, Henry “Hank” Goldberg. Theirs was to be a love affair for nearly 52 years, before Hank passed away in March 2011.

The Goldbergs relocated from Mount Vernon, N.Y., to the Orlando area in 1964, where they ran a very successful building inspection business. She was a longtime member of Temple Israel.

Mrs. Goldberg is survived by her sons, Stephen (Karen) of Winter Park, and Jon (Amy) of Amherst, N.Y.; her daughters, Phyllis of Maitland, Dorie of Winter Park and Brenda (Chris) Priesler of Maitland; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel followed by burial at Glen Haven Memorial Park. The family requests donations in memory of Jonie Goldberg to Temple Israel, 50 S. Moss Road, Winter Springs, FL 32708, or the Humane Society, 2727 Conroy Road, Orlando, FL 32839.
