Celebrating our 35th year, Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando is proud to serve the Central Florida community and positively affect the lives of thousands of individuals and families. Providing professional guidance in a caring and confidential environment, JFS’ unique ability to help those in need is demonstrated throughout a full range of programs and services.
Our cultural and religious tenets, shared from one generation to the next, affirm our obligation to feed the hungry, guide those who need support and strengthen lives to meet the unique challenges that may arise. For more than 35 years, JFS has remained true to those Jewish values and to its mission of providing vital, high quality and innovative social services to people in need.
JFS is proud to be a vehicle for change in our community, and it is the compassion, humanity and generosity from the Jewish community in Central Florida that drives our mission. JFS’ work is a direct product of your voice. We are proud to put your vision and conviction to repair the world into action.
By embracing our mission, our community enables JFS to help Central Floridians, from all walks of life, improve their daily lives. Whether a family needs counseling help following a crisis, a parent needs help putting food on the table or a working individual needs financial advice, we can lend a hand. In the past year, JFS assisted more than 21,000 people; supported more than 125 individuals each month via counseling; supplied more than 80,000 meals to hungry families and individuals; and delivered 300 hot, kosher, nutritious meals to homebound elderly during the holiday seasons.
In the coming year, JFS will remain dedicated to the Jewish value of tikun olam so that we can all reach our goals and attain our dreams for a better world. We hope that in the coming year, fewer people are hungry, more are able to attain their personal goals and families grow strong.
With the continued help and support of you, our community, JFS will be able to attain those goals and be the agents of renewal and repair you ask us to be.
