JCC's FitTata fights against breast cancer

JCC staff, Robin Merkel, and volunteer, Robin Nicholson, explain to long time JCC member Emily Muscatello the raffle prizes and that all proceeds from these sales are donated to Florida Hospital's Breast Cancer Care Fund.

The Roth Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando had a great turnout at its second annual FitTata event. The Roth JCC hosted this morning of fitness to support Florida Hospital's fight against breast cancer. Various fitness classes took place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., where participants from all over joined together to work out for an important cause.

Vendors from the local community showed their support by either making a donation or attending the event. Florida Hospital's Healthy 100 Women and Florida Radiology Imaging (FRi) had their new mammogram mobile onsite. Participants were able to make reservations prior to the event to have a mammogram screening and a free bone mineral density scan. All proceeds from this event were donated to Florida Hospital's Breast Cancer Care Fund.

Class participants Robin Lerner, Susan Talsky, and Catalina Forkin are "body combat warriors" in this Les Mills martial arts class.
