Ohev Shalom holds a Book Fair

Jewish Book Month is Oct. 26-Nov. 26 and Congregation Ohev Shalom will be celebrating! An all-Jewish book fair will be held Nov. 10-17 at the synagogue, 613 Concourse Pkwy. S., Maitland.  A variety of Jewish books will be available for sale during Hebrew school hours as well as other hours as requested. Most of the books are geared toward children and youth but there will be leisure books for adults.  The book fair will be a single copy book fair, which means all books need to be ordered but will be available within only a few short days at the close the book fair. The entire community is welcome.

The theme of this year’s Hebrew school program is “Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh La Zeh,” we are all responsible for each other.  In keeping with that theme, the Hebrew school and youth groups are collecting gently used and new books for children and teens to donate to “A Gift For Teaching.”  A Gift for Teaching is a teacher supply store that offers teachers supplies for little or no cost and is sponsored by each county.  Books can be brought to the synagogue during regular business hours but not on Shabbat.

A Jewish Book Swap for the Hebrew school students and Madrichim will be held on Nov. 10.  Each student is asked to bring a Jewish book that they already read and will have the opportunity to pick a new one!.

For more information and additional book fair hours, please contact the COS office 407-298-4650 or http://www.ohevshalom.org.
