Obituary - SHIRLEY A. WOLFE

Shirley A. Wolfe of Orlando, passed away on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Florida Hospital – Altamonte. She was 81 years old. A native of Essex, England, she was born on March 23, 1932, to the late Michael and Rachel Godfrey Myer. Mrs. Wolfe studied in England, graduating from secretarial school. On Nov.30, 1954, in Burlington, Vt., she married Thomas Wolfe, her husband of nearly 59 years who survives her. While Tom was serving in the U.S .Air Force, the family lived in various locales. They ultimately relocated to the Orlando area from Okinawa in 1964. In Orlando, they became active members of Congregation Ohev Shalom with Tom becoming president from 1985-1987. Shirley spent a number of years working as a secretary in the insurance industry. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, David (Ivy) Wolfe of Orlando, Michael Wolfe of Orlando, and Mark Wolfe of Orlando; daughter, Sharon (Brian) King of Tampa; sisters, Pamela (Marvin) Biltes of Fort Lauderdale and June (Michael) Adler of Montreal; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Ohev Shalom Pavilion with Rabbi David Kay officiating. Burial followed in the Ohev Shalom Cemetery. The family requests contributions in memory of Shirley A. Wolfe be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City OK 73123-1718. Arrangements entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel, Orlando.
