NEW YORK—EL AL, Israel’s national airline, helps keep passengers connected with a number of technology improvements and new services. Tech-savvy passengers can now plan a trip using a user-friendly free vacation-planning app, download a free mobile app for pre-flight convenience and enjoy Express Check-In.

 With a new user-friendly Plan My Trip free EL AL app or by visiting http://www.elal.com, EL AL passengers have the option to plan a comprehensive vacation, saving time and money. Both the app and the EL AL website allow travelers to make their vacation arrangements, which include a variety of centrally located hotels, leading car rental companies, guided tours (including bike tours), special attractions and activities throughout Israel, travel insurance as well as other services.  EL AL passengers can also find out about special prices for renting a mobile hotspot, which provides unlimited internet access in Israel for a smartphone, ipad and laptop. Once ordered, the device can be picked up at Ben Gurion Airport upon arrival in Israel.

 The new complimentary EL AL mobile app is available in Google Play and the App Store, in both Hebrew and English. The app enables travelers to easily book a flight, manage a reservation, express check-in, select a seat, view flight arrival and departure times, learn about special promotions, have access to their Matmid frequent flyer account, plus much more.  EL AL is also offering VIP Airport Royal Ground Services, operated by Laufer, which for a fee provides “pampering” services for arriving and departing passengers at Ben Gurion Airport. Some of the services offered include a personal escort to/from the aircraft, speedier custom and immigration process, expedited luggage pick-up/drop off, and quicker security handling.
