Zemirot for all at Chambrel

The Jewish Pavilion thanks Bonnie Friedman and her talented piano students for performing and enhancing the Shabbat program at Chambrel, Friday, Dec. 27.

Just when the holidays were past and the special parties and entertainment were over, Bonnie Friedman and Jewish Pavilion program director, Emily Newman, coordinated a musical Shabbat like no other. The residents were seated as they usually do each Friday, greeting one another with "Shabbat Shalom," but, little did they know seven students ranging in age from 9-13 would perform musical pieces like, "Green Sleeves," "Beethoven's Fur Elise," "Hava Nagila," Katie Perry's pop music and more. Friedman introduced the program with pieces from "Fiddler on the Roof" and more zemirot familiar to all.

Those who have a talent to share with the seniors please contact the Jewish Pavilion office at 407-678-9363.
