Move It Monday

On Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Roth Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando will hold its second annual Move It Monday-a day of health and fitness marking Presidents' Day.

The day will featured a slate of group exercise classes, all of which are free and open to the community. Classes will include JCC favorites, like LesMills Sh'Bam™, Body Pump™, cardio cycling, yoga, and SilverSneakers. Classes for kids will be held all morning, including one Physical Fitness Fun class presented by the Jewish Academy of Orlando.

"I'm really looking forward to the event and happy to have something fun and healthy for my kids to do," said JCC member Emily Muscatello.

The featured class will be Les Mills Sh'Bam™, a nationally popular class with seriously hot dance moves. Sh'Bam™ is the perfect way to shape up the entire body with cutting-edge choreography and chart-topping popular hits, which is changed every three months. The introduction of the Sh'Bam™ program was made popular through the generosity of Rich and Robin Lerner, and through the guidance support of the JCC's sports and wellness vice president, Marc Levine.

The morning will also feature free health screenings and local health and wellness vendors. Health screenings will include blood pressure check, BMI screening, carbon monoxide testing, One Blood Bus/cholesterol check, sport injury consultation, chair massage and much more.

No registration is required to attend classes. If your child requires Kid Zonebabysitting, please contact the JCC Registrar at 407-645-5933.
