ORLANDO (March 24, 2014)-Jewish Family Services Orlando, the Winter Park-based nonprofit, human service agency, is pleased to announce Centerpieces for Tzedakah, a fundraising effort to help those in need while decorating for any celebration.

Unlike typical floral arrangements, each centerpiece is styled to resemble a basket, filled with food found in JFS Orlando's Pearlman Food Pantry. The centerpieces can be rented for use at weddings, baby showers, bar/bat mitzvahs, or any special event. Each rental of $200 provides 100 meals for families in the Central Florida area.

"The term tzedakah represents our Jewish obligation to help those in need in our community. These centerpieces are part of our ongoing mission to feed the hungry in Central Florida," said Eric Geboff, JFS Orlando's executive director. "We want to give our community members and event planners an alternative to enhance their functions, and with these centerpieces, the end result is healthy meals for families who are struggling to feed themselves."

The Centerpieces for Tzedakah can be ordered by contacting JFS Orlando at info@jfsorlando.org or by calling 407.644.7593 x 227. JFS Orlando offers free pick-up and delivery of the centerpieces, and the rental fee is 100 percent tax-deductible. The centerpieces are also environmentally-friendly, as they can be reused.
