On Sunday, March 30, 25 young families gathered for a Passover program presented jointly by the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando's PJ Library and the Jewish Academy of Orlando.

The collaborative program featured a story time led by JAO Librarian Reba Gordon, two craft projects and games outside on the playground.

"My children loved the stories! All the children in attendance were captivated by Ms. Gordon who is a delightful and charming storyteller. Thank you again for hosting this and other wonderful events," said PJ Library mom, Stacy Newman.

PJ Library helps grow our children's values with Jewish concepts. It ensures that they make Judaism second nature, instead of second best. It nurtures relationships to Jewish tradition, learning, beliefs and practices. The beauty of the PJ Library is that it creates Jewish memories by bringing Jewish content to the recipients' homes. With beautifully written and colorful books, parents read to their children stories of treasured Jewish values like kindness, respect, and tolerance as well as the Jewish holidays sparking an interest in the child and a sense of belonging. PJ mom Marni Stahlman explained the positive experience her family has had with the program, "PJ Library has enriched my daughter Lily's reading experiences. It is wonderful to have stories for her that promote our Jewish heritage and values. She is beyond excited each and every time we go to our mailbox and see the envelope with the PJ Library logo. She knows instantly what it is and can't wait for bedtime to have that be her story for the night."

JFGO then magnifies the effect of the books by providing relevant community programs and partnerships with the synagogues and agencies. The Federation was excited to collaborate with the Jewish Academy in celebration of Passover. It was a valuable opportunity to show PJ families the school and the educational opportunities it can provide to children who will soon be eligible to attend.
