Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice
Sandy Steuer has marked her first anniversary volunteering with the Jewish Pavilion. After helping out a few different senior communities she found her niche at Chambrel. Sandy helps at Shabbat each and every Friday. She has come to find friendship, self satisfaction and even learning the Friday evening service better then ever. "Don't ask me to sing, but I do love to help and I adore the people at Chambrel," chuckled Sandy.
Jackie Levitt has been volunteering for many years at various senior communities. She is particularly dedicated to her mother at Life Care Center of Altamonte Springs and her father-in-law at Chambrel Island Lake. Jackie can be found helping at the monthly musicals at Horizon Bay Lake Orienta and holiday celebrations at Serenades by Sonata. In other words, wherever and whenever she is asked to help Jackie makes herself available.
Helen Tishman resides at Chambrel Island Lake and her dedication to volunteering for Jewish Pavilion continues every Friday at Shabbat service. "Thank you Helen for your continued support and dedication. May you continue for years to come," said Emily Newman, JP program director.
Volunteers are welcome to become involved at Chambrel and other senior living communities throughout Central Florida. Call the Jewish Pavilion office at 407-678-9363 for more information on how to get involved.
