Beatrice S. Allen of Orlando, passed away at her residence on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014. She was 95 years old. Mrs. Allen was born on Aug. 13, 1919, in Brooklyn, New York, to Jacob and Gitla Goodman Kleinman. Following graduation from high school she began a career working for the U.S. government.

She was married to the late William Grossman for 27 years when he passed away in 1967. In the 1970s, she married the late Joseph Allen to whom she was married for 34 years. Following her marriage to Mr. Allen, she moved to Toronto where she lived until relocating to the Orlando area in 2009 to be near her granddaughter.

In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Allen was predeceased by her son, Andrew Grossman; her stepdaughter, Judy Tarapchak, and her brothers, Joseph Kleinman and Israel Kleinman. She is survived by her son Lester Grossman of Reno Nev.; stepdaughter, Dianne (Tony) Houghton of Ontario; grandchildren Amber Hardin, Aharon (Iris) Grossman and Stephanie Houghton; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel with Rabbi Steven W. Engel officiating. Interment took place at Agudas Achim Cemetery in Alexandria, Va. Arrangements entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel, 640 Lee Road, Orlando.
