The UCF Knights for Israel is hosting the film screening of “Honor Diaries” on Monday, Oct. 20, from 6:30-9 p.m. at the UCF Hillel Ballroom, 3925 Lockwood Blvd., Oviedo.

Nine women speak out in this documentary about gender inequality, freedom of movement, violence against women in honor-based societies, with particular focus on honor killings, honor violence, forced marriages, and genital mutilation in Western society.  

In addition to the film, there will be discussions led by Dr. Angela West, wife of Col. Allen West, who will speak on women’s issues and gender-based equality; and Larissa Scott of NOW, Manatee/Sarasota, who will focus on the treatment of women under Sharia Law.
