A Walk in the Park and family festival at Crane's Roost this Sunday

The Jewish Pavilion relies on support from every generation.  UCF Hillel members show their support for "A Walk in the Park."

This weekend the Jewish Pavilion is hosting its fifth annual A Walk in the Park and family festival honoring Bunny Rosen. The Walk takes place at Crane's Roost Park on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. "The Walk is Pavilion's biggest annual fundraising event, and delivers a message to the community about the importance of remembering our cherished seniors in long-term care. Come out and walk with us, and bring the whole family. Everyone benefits when the community comes together, and our seniors in long-term care benefit all year long from your support," said Nancy Ludin, Pavilion executive director.

A Walk in the Park participants will be treated to free t-shirts, a bagel buffet, a Kid's Zone, entertainment, music, and prizes galore. Master of Ceremonies Penny D'Agostino will entertain with crowd-pleasing show tunes. In addition, renowned American-Israeli photographer Rinat Halon will donate free "generations photos" for any intergenerational families walking together, delivered by e-mail.

"Thank you for your support and donations, with your help we can continue to enhance the lives of the elderly, and help ensure that no senior grows old all alone," said Ludin.

It's not too late to register for the Walk. Register online or sign-up at the registration tables at Crane's Roost.
