Chabad's Chanukah festivities throughout the holiday

 


Chabad of South Orlando is hosting a Chanukah Winter Community Festival on Sunday, Dec. 21, featuring a concert with Lazar Lloyd, Israel’s king of the blues; as well as snow cones, donuts, cotton candy, crafts, necklaces and light-up menorahs.

The festival will be held at Chabad of South Orlando’s new location, 7347 W. Sand Lake Road, and admission is free.

Starting at 4:30 p.m. there will be snow activities, including snow sledding down real snow; at 5:45 p.m. the Grand Menorah will be lit; at 6:15 p.m. Lazer Lloyd will perform in concert; and at 6:45 p.m. prizes from raffles will be awarded.

On Monday, Dec. 22, all Chabad Centers in Greater Orlando will join together for ice skating, Menorah lighting and Jewish music at the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den, 8701 Maitland Summit Blvd.

Then, on Tuesday, Dec. 23, Chabad presents its Menorah mobile parade. Leaving from Chabad Center, 7504 Universal Blvd. at 6 p.m., the parade will head down I-Drive, with children riding in a stretch hummer and families displaying a Menorah on their cars.
