Introducing JNET-a new way of networking

Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando announces the launch of the Jewish Business Network, JNET. Spearheaded by a group of five enthusiastic “charter” members, Nancy Hecht-Faracchio, Gale Milgrim, David Brenner, Lawrence Kolin, and Bill Sholk, this business network is a great way to create new and exciting opportunities for Jewish community members to form social and business relationships, network, and make referrals.

JNET will launch its first networking event on March 9, at 7 p.m. at Brown’s Deli (located at 156 Lake Ave., Maitland). The group has been meeting for the last few months to define the goals and structure of the program. JNET will hold monthly fast-paced networking meetings either in the early morning or in the evening that would allow people to meet, mingle, and make a brief business pitch. Each event will also include a short feature presentation.

JNET has ambitious plans for the future that include a web-based platform, a job board, a mentorship program, and other activities. JNET is open to all business and professional persons in the Jewish community of the Greater Orlando area. JNET will also foster greater awareness of and involvement with the Jewish community and the Jewish Federation.

Please stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
