Congregation Ohev Shalom’s Sisterhood invites you to participate in their 5th annual Mahjong Tournament for another exciting event filled with food, fun and friends. This year’s event is scheduled for Sunday, Dec.18. Ohev’s Mahjong tournament Is a fun-filled afternoon that includes a delicious lunch, snacks, prizes and more! 

This year’s co-chairs are Debbie Bellinkoff and Es Cohen. Both are thrilled about the tournament.

“Last year we had nearly 80 ladies participate in the tournament. One lady actually came from Melbourne (Florida)! The recognition of our tournament really travels! We hope to see you there!”

Something new this year is the ability to participate in the tournament in an organized four-some. If you already have a group, you can all register to play in the tournament and stay at your table, enjoy lunch and support the Sisterhood at the same time. A win-win for all. 

You want to play but not fully comfortable to play at tournament level? No worries, a list of those interested in non-competitive playing is being maintained. Let us know and we will put your name on the list. 

Prizes will be awarded for the first, second and last place winners. Last year’s top tournament winner was Barbara Chasnov. According to Chasnov, “The Ohev Mahjong tournament is a great way to make new friends, have fun, and hopefully get a lot of jokers!”
