Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice

Six13 coming to SOJC

Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation will present Six13 Jewish A Cappella in concert on Sunday, March 5, at the Olympia High School auditorium.

Six13 is a six-man vocal band that brings an unprecedented style of Jewish music to the stage, with songs ranging from hip-hop dance tracks to rock anthems. The members of the New York City-based group sound like a full band-while using nothing but their voices.

They have made numerous appearances in national television-featured on Fox, ABC, CBS, in the Huffington Post, Jewish Week and Time Magazine, and have performed at the White House for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. They've played the Chabad Telethon, Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center, traversed New York's Fifth Avenue in the Salute to Israel Parade, headlined the North American Jewish Choral Festival three times, and performed seven times for major league sporting events at Shea Stadium, Citi Field, Madison Square Garden and Dolphin Stadium.

The group's six award-winning albums have over 20,000 copies in circulation, and are among the top Jewish music artists on iTunes; their songs have been chosen for 10 "best-of" compilations to date.

Olympia High School is located at 4301 S. Apopka Vineland Road in Windermere. The doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 4:15 p.m. Tickets are $21 per person and can be purchased at SIX13.SOJC.org.
