Nettie Newburger, age 100, of Apopka, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 30, 1917, to the late Charles and Fanny Marks Barnett. Nettie was the widow of Eugene Leroy Newburger who passed away on March 3, 2011, after 73 years of marriage. They were the owner/operator of a used food-processing equipment company. In 1972, they relocated to Miami from Chicago and then moved to Orlando in 2002.
