IDF musical ensemble at last year's performance.

The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces invites the community to a special performance by the IDF musical ensemble to celebrate Israel's 70th anniversary and 70 years of Heroes and Hope. The ensemble will perform popular and traditional Israeli songs, including special songs for Chanukah. The event co-chairs are Burt and Barbara Chasnov.

The event will be held on Dec. 9, at 2:30 p.m., at Congregation Ohev Shalom, 613 Concourse Pkwy S., Maitland.

There will also be a former IDF combat soldier and current IMPACT! scholarship recipient at the event to speak about her service and how the scholarship program has impacted her life.

The IMPACT! scholarship program provides 4-year academic scholarships to combat and combat support veterans in-need, allowing them to continue to give back to Israel long after their military service is over through a higher education, as well as through a community service commitment.

Ticket prices are: $180, Guardian of Israel (includes a private lunch with the soldiers); $90, Patron VIP seat; $36, Preferred seats; $18, General Admission seats; $10, Students (Ages 13-21); Free, Children 12 and under.
