Joyce E. Demers, age 89, of Altamonte Springs, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Island Lake Life Center in Longwood. Mrs. Demers was born on April 14, 1931, in Ilion, New York, a daughter of the late George Leander Rockerfeller and Elsie Miriam Brown Rockerfeller.

A homemaker and CNA, she was the wife of Charles Demers, her husband of over 58 years who survives her. The family relocated to the Orlando area in 1977 from Port Service, New York.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Nancy Demers of Altamonte Springs; her son, Brian Demers of Altamonte Springs; and two grandsons, Joshua and Aaron. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Wooley of Maryland.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service was held at Orlando Memorial Gardens with Rabbi Steven W. Engel officiating.
