Introducing Rabbi Arny's new video series
February 5, 2021
JFS Orlando's very own community rabbi, Rabbi E. Arnold (Arny) Siegel, started a new video series this year. Every month, he discusses a different relevant theme that touches on Jewish culture and traditions, hoping to provide advice and guidance through a spiritual lens.
Here is an excerpt from his latest video on the topic of "Small Beginnings": "One has to start small. Always remember quality over quantity. Success comes with no guarantee, but I believe building on the pluses and minuses of each endeavor will, with vision and perseverance, achieve the desired goal."
Rabbi Arny came to JFS in 2004 after serving nearly 24 years in the Navy Chaplain Corps. Ordained in 1972, he holds degrees in political science, Hebrew letters and human resource management. As JFS's community rabbi, he visits patients in local hospitals, on-call to area hospices and attends to end-of-life needs for households not affiliated with local synagogues. Additionally, Rabbi Arny is on-call for rabbinical (crisis/death) counseling.
