A special Purim treat for Jewish Pavilion seniors

February 26, 2021

Behind these Purim masks are Jewish Pavilion volunteers Emily Newman, Pam Ruben, Marci Gaeser, Sharon Littman and Patti Bughan (guessing the order).

Purim was celebrated al fresco at many of the Jewish Pavilion facilities. All of the Jewish elderly received goody bags for the Purim Holiday. Special thanks to Sharon Littman and her mahjong ladies - Marci Gaeser, Pam Ruben, Emily Newman and Patti Bughan. They filled 350 bags with Purim goodies such as masks, groggers, colorful coins, colored pencils, coloring pages from Joanne Fink at Zenspirations, hamantashen, the Purim story and snacks. Allysa Littman made 350 personalized Purim cards to insert in the bags. The snacks, coins, stickers and groggers were generously purchased by Sharon Littman, Pam Ruben and Marci Gaeser. "The Jewish Pavilion was so thrilled to celebrate face-to-face with residents even if we had to wear masks and be outdoors," said Nancy Ludin, Jewish Pavilion CEO.
